Pre-K News for the week of March 30th

During school this week, we talked about Passover!

We also learned how to write the letter "X"



On Monday, we made a fancy Seder plate and began to practice the letter "X" in our Handwriting Without Tears workbooks.



On Tuesday, we went on a great field trip to the Arden Theatre to see "A Year With Frog and Toad" The children, parents and teachers had an excellent time on this field trip!!



Wednesday, we painted our afikomen covers for Passover! We used fabric paint to write the word "matzah" in Hebrew on our cover, then decorated the cover with paints! We practiced doing a writing sample as well.



Thursday, we colored baby Moses in his basket, and drew a water scene for him swimming. We had a great drama class with Mr. Michael where the children got to share their favorite parts of "A Year With Frog and Toad." The children also discussed the feelings of each character and how they acted.



Friday, we talked about the 4 Questions of Passover and did a matching activity! We also had a Shabbat celebration with Cantor Carl and the rest of our Playschool Friends.

School will be closed for Passover starting Monday, April 6th- Friday, April 17th. Playschool will resume on MONDAY, APRIL 20th!



Parent/Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th



If you haven't already signed up, please do so outside of our classroom!



Playschool Shabbat Dinner will be held on Friday, April 24th from 5:45-7:15pm. All families are asked to bring a Kosher dish that will feed at least 5 people. Sign up sheets for this dinner, are also posted outside of our classroom!





*** Insectarium Pre-K Field Trip will be on Monday, May 11th. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend, and tickets are 12.00 per person.



Please do not forget to send back the permission slips, along with a check or cash!
