Miss. Ali's News, Week of April 20th

We were all very excited to be back at school after our long Spring Break!



This week, our unit was Spring!



On Monday, We made some beautiful floral centerpieces for our Shabbat Dinner this Friday! We also are coming very close to finishing our Handwriting Without Tears workbooks! Our letter of the week this week is the letter "Y."



On Tuesday, we practiced our letter "Y" some more and did some language arts worksheets to review it. We talked about Earth Day, and did some planting to help make the Earth beautiful!



Wednesday, we finger painted a spring scene and described what we were doing in our picture. We also identified how people were feeling in some pictures during Language Arts!



On Thursday, we were so excited to see Mr. Michael in drama class! The children did some great miming activities about what they did during their Spring Break! They also did a fun listening pattern activity. We read a Spring Poem and illustrated what the poem talked about!



On Friday, we had our 1st Shabbat since our Spring Break. The children were very excited to be coming back for their Shabbat dinner Friday night too!! We also finished our Spring Unit by making some beautiful kites!!

Coming Up....



Pajama week in the Pre-K week of April 27th. Please send your child/children to school in their pajamas on Friday, May 1st. Make sure they have on appropriate footwear. Please no flip-flops or slippers!



Parent Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th. Please review your time outside of our classroom!



Class Pictures are Tuesday, April 28th. Please have your children in to school no later than 9:00am!



LAST CLASS TRIP to the INSECTARIUM on Monday, May 11th! If you have not already, please send your child/children in with their permission slips, along with 12.00 in cash or a check. Parents and siblings, are welcome to attend!!
