News From Miss. Ali and Friends.. week of Nov. 2nd

Our friends in Pre-K had a very exciting week!

This week our unit was Community Jobs/Helpers.

On Tuesday, the Pre-K took a walking trip to Superfresh to see all of the different jobs people have in the supermarket! We got to take a look at all of the delicious food in the bakery, took a trip past the deli counter, and even had a chance to eat some cheese and see a real lobster who joined our tour! We had an excellent time and learned alot!

During this week we also had some parents come in to discuss what jobs they do. We learned about law, owning and managing a restaurant, and what it is like to be a doctor~!

Our friends are also learning some more letters of the alphabet. We have been practicing the letters "L" "F" and "E" in our Handwriting Without Tears workbooks.

We have also learned how to write the number 4 and group and sequence items.

Books We Read This Week:

"I Will Never Not Ever Eat A Tomato"- Lauren Child

"When I Grow Up"- Leonid Gore

"What Do You Want To Be?"- Todd Parr

"Mister Seahorse"- Eric Carle

"I've Lost My Yellow Zebra"- Angela Brooksbank

* Reminder- If children are sick, regardless if they have a fever, please do not send them to school! We are trying to keep SHS Healthy!

**Playschool will be closed Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th for Thanksgiving**

Thank You, Thank You to ALL of our parents who came in this week!!

Mike Carrier, Egle Vasiliauskaite, Anne Ladenson and Pete Gearhart-

We appreciate you taking time out of your day to come visit with us!!

Have a nice weekend,
Miss. Ali
