Pre-K News for Week Of February 2nd

This week we talked about Groundhogs Day and Tu B' Shevat!

On Monday, we discussed whether or not the Groundhog had seen his shadow or not! Unfortunately, he did, which means 6 more weeks of winter!! We made a groundhog popping out of the ground, and also began practicing the letter "B"

On Tuesday, we began our "Trees For All Season" Tu B' Shevat projects. We made a tree for Winter and did some mathematics review worksheets.

Wednesday- SNOW DAY!

On Thursday, we made our Autumn Tree and practiced some more sequencing activities in Language Arts. We also had a silly day in Drama, when Mr. Michael declared it Backwards Day!! Our whole drama class was backwards, and Mr. Michael even wore some of his clothing backwards! The children had a silly and (confusing) day!!

Friday, we finished our tree projects by ending with a beautiful summer tree! We also have been continuing to read some poems from Shel Silversteins, "A Light in the Attic" We had a nice Shabbat with Cantor Carl too!

Thank you to our Fabulous Royal Reader this week, Dan Becker!
