This week in Pre-K our unit was Space!! This was a terrific unit to study, and I was so impressed on how much knowledge the children had about it!
On Monday, we began practice with the letter "W." We are almost finished with our Handwriting Without Tears Workbooks! We made a very "sunny" sun using our hand cut-outs and paper plates!
On Tuesday, we made a shooting star using craypas and glitter paints. Please check them out inside of our classroom! We also practiced matching up pairs of items in language arts.
Wednesday, we created and named our very own constellation! The children thought of some very creative names for their constellations! We also practiced writing the letter "W" on our lined paper, and wrote out the number 9-12.
Thursday, we had fun in drama with Mr. Michael and played some imaginary instruments. We acted out how they would be played and how they would look! We also began some challenging math worksheets! We also completed a journal entry about astronauts and what we would look like as one!
Finally, we ended our week on Friday with Shabbat and a wrap up of our Space Unit! The children drew their favorite planet and labeled which one it was.

** Some Important Dates To Remember**
NEXT TUESDAY, MARCH 31st- Class trip to see "A Year with Frog and Toad." We will be leaving school at approx 9:15 am and will return back to school before 12:30pm
School will be closed for Passover starting on Monday, April 6th- Friday, April 17th..Playschool will resume on Monday, April 20th
Class Pictures are Tuesday, April 28th! Please have your children into school no later than 9:00am.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th. Sign up sheets are now posted outside of our classroom. There will be NO SCHOOL for children these 2 days.
