Class News From Pre-K Week of March 16th

This past week we went back in time to learn all about DINOSAURS! This was one of the children's favorite units this year!

On Monday, we wrote a journal entry of what we thought dinosaurs may have looked like a long time ago, we also drew some great pictures to go along with our responses! Please check them out around our classroom! We began the letter "N" and practiced counting by 2's, 5's, and even 10's!

On Tuesday, we colored some cool Dinosaur place mats, which can be used at home...The place mats were laminated and sent home, all ready to be used! We talked about pairs in language arts and did some worksheets to practice this.

On Wednesday, we made some Dinosaur headbands! We had a choice of making a stegosaurus Dino, or a long neck Dino..We decorated our headbands with craypas and glitter! We listed some words that began with N, and practiced some more with this letter.

On Thursday, we painted some wooden dinosaurs which we later made into magnets! We also refreshed our memory and did some math connect the dots! In drama, Mr. Michael showed the children what makes poems different from other pieces of literature, and the children had a great time making up their own silly poem about a mouse!

We ended our week Friday, by coloring and decorating the letter "N." We then created some silly sentences all with the letter "N" in them..We had a great time singing songs and dancing at Shabbat!

THANK YOU TO OUR SPECIAL ROYAL READER THIS WEEK, Noah Kauderwood's "Grammy" Dotty Wood!

We are all looking forward to our field trip to the Arden Theatre on Tues, March 31st!

Playschool will be closed for Passover starting Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 17th. School will resume on Monday, April 20th...

Have a wonderful weekend!
